Two compatibility questions, not one

A manufacturer can verify that a camera works with a named hardwire kit. Your vehicle still needs a suitable power connection, fuse-tap arrangement and installation route. Averquo currently verifies the first question only.

Why the connector does not prove compatibility

Two products can share a Mini USB or USB-C shape without sharing the same electrical behaviour, parking-mode communication or manufacturer support. A connector match alone therefore remains insufficient evidence.

Permanent live and switched live

A switched supply is powered with the ignition state selected by the vehicle. A permanent supply can remain powered when the vehicle is parked. Some parking-mode kits use both battery and accessory inputs so the camera can distinguish driving from parking. The correct connection depends on the kit and vehicle.

Parking mode and low-voltage protection

Parking mode can draw power while the engine is off. Compatible hardwire kits may include low-voltage protection intended to stop that draw before the battery falls further. Battery age, condition, vehicle behaviour and kit settings all matter, so Averquo does not prescribe a universal threshold.

How we check compatibility

Camera-to-kit matches are checked against manufacturer information and dated. If we cannot confirm a model, we leave it unverified rather than relying on a retailer description, plug appearance or similarity to another camera.
