Short answer:AEOCKY 25L-labelled compressor is the only distinct dehumidifier currently present with a verified tracked product link in our Amazon Sellers Awin feed. It is a genuine shopping option, not a proven best buy: its headline 25L/day rating is measured under hot, humid conditions. The MeacoDry Arete One 12L remains a better-documented comparison for a normally heated flat. Meaco has now approved our Awin partnership, but the 12L was listed out of stock on 24 October; a smaller Arete One 10L was showing low stock. Compare their different capacities before ordering. For cold spaces, compare desiccant machines before choosing a compressor.
This is a specification-based buying guide, not a hands-on test. Merchant prices are dated snapshots, not live offers. Some links below are tracked affiliate links; our recommendation is not determined by commission.
A tracked Amazon option and an independent Meaco benchmark
Listed with a compressor, laundry-drying use and drain hose. The 25L/day figure is a nominal listing capacity, not a guarantee of 25 litres collected in a UK flat.
For: buyers who want to compare an advertised higher extraction class at a lower listed price.
Watch out: check power consumption, verified noise, return terms, tank capacity and independent owner reports at the retailer before choosing it over the Meaco.
Meaco lists laundry mode, a 2.5L tank, a 35–38dB noise rating, and 151W consumption at 20°C / 60% RH. The manufacturer lists a five-year warranty.
For: a reasonably warm flat where noise and predictable technical details matter.
Watch out: the 12L headline is tested under warmer, wetter conditions; Meaco publishes only 5.23L/day at 20°C / 60% RH. At the time checked some variants were low stock or unavailable.
Meaco listed this exact 12L model out of stock on 24 October 2026. This is a tracked Awin manufacturer link, not a claim that it can be ordered today.
Available alternative to compare: MeacoDry Arete One 10L was £159.99 and showing low stock on 24 October. It is a smaller-capacity model, not an equivalent 12L substitute; Meaco publishes 4.34L/day at 20°C / 60% RH for the 10L versus 5.23L/day for the 12L.
The 10L and 12L Meaco links are tracked through our newly approved Awin programme. Prices and stock can change; check the manufacturer before buying.
Five checks before ordering
Room temperature: compressor machines generally extract less water in colder air. For an unheated utility room or conservatory, compare desiccant models first.
Electricity: at 151W and 25p/kWh, eight hours uses about 1.21kWh, roughly 30p. Your actual cost depends on your tariff, humidity and duty cycle.
Noise: a machine running beside a sofa or bed needs more scrutiny than one in a closed utility room.
Tank and drainage: check whether you can empty the tank conveniently, or safely use continuous drainage with the hose routed downhill.
Washing setup: spin clothes well and give air room to circulate. A dehumidifier removes moisture from room air; it does not replace the airflow around the fabric.
One measurement that matters: do not compare 12L and 25L labels as if they were measured at the same temperature and humidity. Ask for extraction figures at comparable conditions before paying more for capacity.
Other brands worth checking on Amazon
Established alternatives include Pro Breeze 12L and Meaco models sold by UK retailers. However, a product being on Amazon does not make it eligible for our existing Amazon Sellers Programme links. Meaco's Awin approval now provides a second manufacturer-backed affiliate route alongside the verified Amazon Sellers feed listing. We have not assumed that every Amazon product is eligible for that feed.
Often worth considering for normal indoor temperatures, but there is no universal size rule. Laundry volume, existing damp, room temperature and how often you empty the tank matter more than bedroom count alone.
Is a dehumidifier cheaper than a tumble dryer?
It can draw less electrical power while running, but usually takes much longer and dries the room rather than directly heating garments. Compare energy used per full load, not only watts per hour.
